Our editors want a Typo3 backend. We (the developers) want to get this magazine out of the door before Armageddon. The solution? A Typo3 installation inside of a CakePHP frontend.

After all, Typo3 is just a clever database frontend which manipulates two tables, pages and tt_content. This way, the developers can productively create custom navigation bars, arrange content the way they want it, and do so in the clean and well organized world of CakePHP Model-View-Controller. Our editors, on the other hand, can work their way through the page tree and place content on columns. Everyone is happy.

Once we have a baseline implementation, I hope to release a tutorial and some code here.

beim Linuxtag, 3.-6. Mai 2006 in Wiesbaden. Der Standplan liegt z.Zt. noch hier. Unser Drupal-Stand ist in der obersten Reihe in der Nähe von Zope und GeekLog

Hat jemand von vergangenen Veranstaltungen ein gedrucktes Poster und Broschüren, die er uns überlassen könnte? Ich habe dieselbe Frage natürlich auch in drupal.org gestellt.

Wie man zumindest schon in der Ausstellerliste nachlesen kann, wird contAire dieses Jahr in Wiesbaden den Drupal-Stand betreiben. Die Standnummer selbst stehen leider noch nicht fest.

Spanndende Themen am Stand werden sicher sein:

• das neue 4.7er-Release
• neues Tools, z.B. das Content Construction Kit (CCk)
• Integration (warum, wie) mit anderen (auch kommerziellen) CMSsen

• Referenzprojekte (z.B. unsere ;-) )

ACHTUNG – SUBJEKTIVE MEINUNG: Typo3 – Finger weg! Es ist nicht allein die Lernkurve. Es ist auch der total 90er HTML-Code, den dieses System erzeugt.
